1、能灵活运用It has...来描述所看到的动物。 教学准备: 单词卡片 课件 教学过程: Step 1:Warm-up

1.Let’s do: Touch your nose/face/eye/ear… 2.Let’s chant

Look at the cat. It is fat.

Look at the pig. It is big. Look at the monkey. It is funny.

Look at the mouse. In my house. Ahhh! 3.Free talk

T:The animals are very funny. Do you like animals? What animals do you like? Fly like a bird./ Jump like a rabbit./Act like a cat/duck…. Step 2:Presentation

1.To teach the words: big and small T: Look! The elephant is big. It’s so big. Big,big,big,make your eyes big. The mouse is small. It’s so small.

Small.small,small,make your eyes small. I have small eyes.What about you ? S: I have ….

Say the sentence: The elephant is big.The mouse is small.

Fill in the blanks: The pig is big and the ball is small. 2.To teach the words: tall and short

T: What’s this animal?(giraffe) The giraffe is tall. It’s so tall.

Tall,tall,tall, make yourself tall.

And this is (a deer). The deer is short. It’s so short. Short,short short, make yourself short. Fill in the blanks:Yao Ming is tall and Pan Changjiang is short. 3. To teach the words: long and short T: Look at the monkey. It has a long tail. Long,long,long, make arms long.

Look at the rabbit. It has a short tail. Short,short,short,make your arms short. 4. Let’s chant

Tall, tall, tall, make yourself tall. Short, short, short, make yourself short. Big, big, big, make your eyes big.

Small, small, small, make your eyes small. Long, long, long, make your arms long. Short, short ,short, make your arms short. Step 3: Practice 1. Guess three riddles

2. Talk about the elephant and the monkey.

3. To show some pictures and let students choose one and discribe it .

Eg: Look at the _______.It’s _______. It has ______________.

4. We should love and protect the animals. Step 4: Homework 1.Read the six new words. 2.Finish Workbook Page 40 Part 2.

3. Discribe an animal ,use the sentences “It has….”.
