As a movie lover, I have watched a great many movies. Every time I finish a movie, some thoughts come to me. Today I’d like to share some views of love I got from two movies.
Firstly, love can beyond the boundary of ages. I got this from the movie Léon. Léon is a 40-year-old professional killer. One day, his neighbor, a 12-year-old girl Mathilda knocks his door and asks for his help. Mathilda's father annoys the leader of the group who paid him to hide cocaine in his apartment. But they discover some of the drugs missing, they destroy the building and murder Mathilda's entire family, except for Mathilda, for she was out shopping. Although Léon is very unwilling to gives her a hand, he opened his door and let her in.
Mathilda discovers that Léon is a killer soon. She begs him to teach her how to be a killer because She wants to avenge the murder of her 4-year-old brother. Léon shows her how to use guns. In return, she cleans his apartment and teaches him how to read. Several times Mathilda tells Léon \"I love you\
Then one day after Mathilda has learned how to shoot, she takes Léon's guns and sets out to kill her enemy. She goes into the leader’s office but was discovered in a bathroom. After reading the note left for him, Léon rushes to rescue Mathilda and shooting several men in the process. The leader calls for his underlings to kill them.
Back in his apartment, Léon helps Mathilda to escape from air shaft.
He reassures her and tells her that he loves her and that she has given him \"a taste for life\". In the chaos that follows, Léon fights for more than 10 minutes, but was shot in the back. Before his death, Léon opens a grenade. It bomb moments later, the huge explosion killing them instantly.
Mathilda then digs a hole and plants Léon's houseplant, as she had told Léon he should give it roots.
Although Léon is in his mid-life and is a killer, he is pure and simple. Although Mathilda is only 12 years old, the horrible experience leads to her independence and maturity. They help each other and rely on each other and, fall in love with each other. Their love beyond the boundary of age.
Secondly, love can beyond the boundary of race. I got this from the cartoon movie Stormy Night. Wolf Gav and goat Mei meet each other in a stormy night. Because of the darkness, they can’t recognize each other’s race. Through chatting, they find they have many common interests. The next day, they find each other’s identity for they meet again as their promise, but they choose to be friends. They contact with each other secretly and try their best not to be discovered by their own race. But their friendship are found soon. Wolves and goats begin to chase them. To protect their friendship, Gav and Mei decide to escape to the Emerald Forest where is said wolf and goat can live together peacefully.
On their way escaping, Gav has to endure hanger and warns himself
not to eat Mei. Mei is fear but he chooses to trust Gav. Mei tells Gav, “you can eat me if you can’t stand anymore, because we are friends.” Gav hides Mei in the cave and fights against wolves alone but doesn’t come back.
Mei has to leave alone. He reaches Emerald Forest at last. Surprisingly, he finds Gav, but Gav can’t recognize him for he has lost his memory and wants to eat Mei. Mei feels desperate and said, “If I knew the result earlier, I’d rather we haven’t met on the stormy night.” Hearing these words, Gav stops and suddenly recalls everything.
Can we love even we are totally different? Can we protect our love even nobody support us? Gav and Mei did it.
Love is the purest thing in the world. But disappointingly, nowadays, too many complicated factors are added into love. Background, money, appearance, all of these become the necessity of love. In my opinion, love is very simple. You can understand each other, you are willing to talk with each other, you can trust each other and you don’t want him or her to leave anymore. That’s enough.
