摘要：PURPOSE:To perform the access of adjacent unit pictures at high speed by filingthe picture information of a large picture after dividing it into plural unit pictures.
CONSTITUTION:A picture information 10 of the large picture is divided into plural picturepieces 11 in a prescribed size, and the respective picture pieces 11 of the same row or ofthe same column are cyclicly stored in optical disks 20a-20d respectively in the order ofarrangement in an optical disk device 20. When displaying the designated area of thepicture 10, the respective picture pieces 11 are accessed from the optical disks 20a-20d.Therefore, in this case, the storage destination of the adjacent respective picture pieces11 can easily be retrieved from a table 22 prepared in advance so that the access can beperformed at high speed.
