摘要：A sealing structure comprises a body member (11) having a peripheral surfacedefining a first annular channel (14, 15) therein. A first annular sealing member (18) isreceived in said first channel (14, 15) and has a cross-sectional shape so as to define asecond annular channel (20). This first annular sealing member (18) is an endless ring,
which is made from an elastic, stretchable material. The cross-sectional shape of thesecond channel (20) has a constriction (22) radially spaced from the bottom of thechannel, and a second flexible annular sealing member (23) is in the second channel (20)and has a cross-sectional shape, which is substantially complementary to the cross-sectional shape of the second channel (20). The second annular sealing member (23) ismade from a flexible, relatively stiff material and is slit, whereby the second sealingmember (23) may be mounted and safely retained in the second channel (20) aftermounting the first sealing member (18) in the first channel (14, 15). A second channel (20)is preferably defined at both sides of the first sealing member (18) and the secondsealing member (23) received therein may be cut from a length of strip material.
