摘要：PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve occupant protection performance in theevent of front collision of a vehicle.SOLUTION: An occupant restricting device 10 for avehicle comprises: a seat belt 12; a collision prediction sensor 14; a brake device 16 (spaceincreasing means) that increases a space S between an occupant 26 and the seat back 32of a vehicle seat 24; an explosive type pretensioner 18 and an electric motor 20
(actuator), for pulling in the seat belt 12; and a control section 22 that, in a case where afront collision of the vehicle is detected in advance by the collision prediction sensor 14,increases the space S between the occupant 26 and the seat back 32 by the brake device16 (space increasing means ), also starts pulling in the seat belt 12 by the explosive typepretensioner 18 and the electric motor 20 (actuator), and, until forward movement of theoccupant 26 starts at least after the front collision, continuously inputs load to thepassenger 26 from the seat belt 12 and continuously move the occupant 26 in a vehiclebackward direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
